For my friends in the upper Midwest and Great Lakes region, if you’re ever in Southern Wisconsin, you should stop into the House on the Rock in Spring Green, WI. Per the Wikipedia article (worthy of reading if you’re interested), “The House on the Rock is a tourist attraction located between the cities of Dodgeville and Spring Green, Wisconsin. Opened in 1959, it is a complex of architecturally distinct rooms, streets, gardens, and shops designed by Alex Jordan Jr.” It’s good for 2-3 hours and perfect for children and I enjoy it immensely. While visiting this Summer, I snuck into the personal washroom of Alex Jordan – not the visitor restrooms, but the guy’s actual washroom in the house – and clogged the F out of it. Yeah, I clogged a famous monument. Here’s a photo of the Tiffany shroom lamp in the guy’s living room:
Happy MLKJR Day!
