I imagine as a child reciting nursery rhymes, her parents put their own special twist on the title and instead used “Hot Sideways Buns.” Which come to think of it, this English nursery rhyme from the 18th century was practically written for the Chinese market – just look at the lyrics below:
“Hot cross buns! Hot cross buns! One a penny, two a penny, Hot cross buns!
If you have no daughters, give them to your sons. One a penny, two a penny, Hot cross buns!”
