House of the Day (2/11/2020)

Today’s house of the day is a little different from the usual grandiose estates shared on MaM.  Located in Hastings, Michigan (between Grand Rapids and Lansing), this beautiful, rustic cabin was built in 2004, has 3 beds and 2 baths across 1,700 square feet, and sits on a gorgeous 60 acres.  Unfortunately, there’s no lake but there is a pond/mosquito haven on the property.  It was last listed in December 2019 for $450,000 and property taxes will set you back $2,500 a year.  It was constructed from re-purposed Douglas Fir timber beams and has hardwood flooring rescued from the historic WB Warehousing building in Grand Rapids.  This home would truly be a perfect lake house if only it were on a lake – I love the American frontier feel.  Photos below:
