The left has spent the last ten years delivering ad hominem attacks on Trump and his supporters. Perennially befuddled, they blamed the Hilary loss – and will doubtlessly blame this loss – in no small part on bigotry and misogynistic machoism run amok. Blinded by a never-ending well of self righteousness, they’ve lurched too far left and have lost touch with the American people. The media, the progressive far left, and what we think of as coastal elites are mired in this bizarre fetish in which everyone is either an oppressor or oppressee and the vilification of Trump’s voters – including many who don’t like the twice impeached, convicted felon but prefer his policies over Harris’s – is what ultimately got him elected. Twice. I encourage the left to use this time for honest self reflection. Not about people and candidates, but about policies.
